Meet Me, John D'Agostino

When I was 9 in 2016, My little brother Bennett who was 6 at the time, was diagnosed with Leukemia a type of blood cancer which also caused a brain hemorrhage. If it wasn't for the brain hemorrhage, My brother would most likely have been much less effected by this event. With the brain hemorrhage, my brother hasn't been able to form sentences, Use his muscles like we do and has not been able to be himself or "Normal". As a 9 year old, I just thought he had the Flu or something like a sickness and that this time he had to go to the hospital and would probably be back home in a week or so. I didn't really fully understand it until I was about 12-13. The effects of it came a little later at the age of 14. Bennett has definitely gotten "better" since he was first diagnosed, However, he has not returned to the state he was before and it doesn't look like he will any time soon. I have gotten "better" myself with dealing with this in my life and I hope to spread my experience as well as my never-ending journey with anyone I can. With No Cancer, I can do that. Whenever someone buys merch from No Cancer, Half of the profits go to charities that help scientists research possible cures for cancer as well as help hospitals treat patients with cancer. That's the little part I am doing in life to get the world a little closer to being Cancer Free.
